IFSC Code is a 11-character alphanumeric code allotted by the RBI to Indian Overseas Bank and to other banks to facilitate inter-bank fund transfers through the NEFT and/ or RTGS systems.

IFSC of a bank-branch is also available with all the bank-branches participating in NEFT/ RTGS and on the website of Reserve Bank of India. Banks have also been advised by RBI to print the IFSC code of the branch on cheques issued to their customers.
